Second story deck

This is a 12’x16’ porch built around an oak tree. The porch is a little over 10’ high. Customer was very happy … even with the tree. I do understand the problem of building around a tree, there is a gap between the tree and roof. Everything was discussed with the owner who is a construction worker, they wanted it this way and love their porch.
